Contact's Philosophy

...is to operate production and "close proximity" exploration in our core area of Atlantic Canada

                   and to participate in unconventional or high-impact exploration, such as the

                            Windsor Shale Block in Nova Scotia, the deep shale play in New Brunswick, and the West Coast of Newfoundland

     Contact’s holdings and operations are located in close proximity to one of the world’s largest consumption markets, near pipeline and

refining infrastructure and in jurisdictions with reasonable royalty structures in place.  We produce crude oil in New Brunswick (photos above & below)

and Saskatchewan, and explore for hydrocarbons on lands throughout Atlantic Canada, our primary area of focus.

     Contact Exploration is committed to building shareholder equity through maximizing production from its existing fields and the continued

exploration of its properties that exhibit the potential of significant oil and gas. 

     June 2007 marked a significant milestone for the company: Contact Exploration transitioned from explorer to producer with commercial oil production

from its Stoney Creek Field, a field which contains proved and probable reserves of  1.2 million barrels of oil and 6.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas. 

In October of 2007 additional oil producing properties were acquired in Saskatchewan.  Current ongoing exploration activities include drilling in

New Brunswick, and participating on the drilling and completion of wells in a shale gas project in Nova Scotia.
